Bet you didn’t know there is a group dedicated to helping Milwaukie residents understand and transition to a more sustainable society? This is the group behind Ban the Bag Milwaukie, The Tool Library, and the Milwaukie Food Co-Op.

They currently have about 15 active members who get together once a month to promote sustainable practices in Milwaukie.  Often they have guest speakers who visit and share their knowledge of sustainability.  Past guest speakers have included Duke Castle from Natural Steps, Jeffrey Smith from Forum on Geonomics, and Steve from the SE Portland Tool Library.

They meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month at a members home or at a central location in Milwaukie.  Meetings are open to new members.
