MHS Outstanding Report Card

For the second consecutive year, the Oregon Department of Education has issued Milwaukie High School an Outstanding grade on the state report card. Milwaukie High has received this due to increased achievement on state assessments, increased attendance and graduation rates. We still have a lot of work to do, because the job of educating our future never ends. I just want to take this opportunity to let you all know that our staff is committed to ensuring that our students will graduate ready to be productive citizens. I am proud of our students, staff, parents and community who are all a part of our success.

    Milwaukie HS Recollections:

    -My 1960′s classmates/teammates included outstanding people who went on to earn their spurs as undergraduate university scholar-athletes; and subsequently matriculated from graduate and professional school programs in business, education, law, engineering and medicine;
    -That’s not to say that we didn’t count among our numbers a few misguided souls, who under different circumstances, might have achieved successful lives; or that others of us who, in our present circumstances, would be viewed as upstanding citizens; however in those younger days, because we engaged in socially unacceptable behavior (street fighting, underage drinking, hanging ten off of 3-Fingered Jack, the North Sister and other mindless, risk-laden madness), we were given guarded chances of surviving our 21st birthdays…
